So can someone explain to me about lunch meat and pregnancy - listeriosis - Page 2

I try to eat neither b/c I think they are junk and it's expensive to get the "better" stuff.

I did crave hotdogs with DD though so I bought the uncured super turkey dogs from the health store to satisfy my desires.

If I do eat lunchmeat, I cook it first anyways. The cold serving just icks me out...something slimy about it lol.

Would it be ok if I added another food-borne pathogen question to this thread?

I have started to see "soft scrambled eggs" on the lists of pregnancy "no-nos," and am wondering what exactly this means--how soft or wet are these supposedly salmonella/e coli/listeria/toxo-carrying eggs? I have always preferred my own eggs cooked to firm and fairly dry and now that I am pregnant, I tend almost to overcook them. I know that other people prefer differently, and I just attended a brunch that featured scrambled eggs cooked less thoroughly than what I am used to. What I'm not sure of is whether they were soft enough or moist enough to be counted as "undercooked."
I'm sorry if this is a very silly question...
