38 weeks and still pregnant.
Went to see my midwife today.. she asked me if I had time to get an ultrasound.. um, yeah? She was afraid baby had flipped breach.. she didn't though, and yes, she is still a girl
Lots of hair, approx. 8 lbs. She has no room left at the inn... her foot and a hand were both stuck up by her face, and her other foot was smooshed in her crotch.. it looked REALLY uncomfortable in there.. doesn't she realize there is so much more room OUTSIDE of mama?
Unfortunately my cervix is still THICK. sigh..
I am not uncomfortable, and I actually enjoy being pregnant, I am just getting anxious and that is starting to get me a bit nervous.. and antsy.
Started EPO and RRL.. Dp has off the WHOLE MONTH of June, so I would definitely have more help at home if baby comes sooner rather than later.. he is not looking forward to going back to work in July, and with a newbie at home he will hate it even worse..
ETA: Anyone know a lactation consultant that does home visits? I found a website that had some listed and one said she did home visits, but then when I called the number they said she doesn't work there anymore, and now I can't find where she currently is.. I bf'd my last successfully for two full years, but had trouble with my other kiddos.. I know the beginning of our nursing relationship is a make/break for us, so I am trying to line up some support.. I would prefer someone that bills insurance so I can get all the extra gadgets (if I need them) and not have to pay out of pocket (my insurance paid for soothies last time and I loved that!) I already have a brand new pump in style...
Also I don't really see the point in taking my newborn into the hospital to see a lactation consultant considering I am having a homebirth in order to stay out of the hospital.. I will go in if I have to, but it seems contradictory, doesn't it?
