I started it last night and I really, really like it. It's a bit difficult at times but I know I'll be able to work through it in no time! A tad sore today in my arms and thighs, but I love it!!

Hooray! I'm starting today, but I'm going to alternate days with the elliptical and interval training.

YAY! Good luck to you, mama!
I think I'm gonna do the levels as recommended and once the 30 days is over maybe do it every other day and do the ellipitical on the days that I don't do the DVD? We'll see if I'm still standing or able to walk after the 30 days is over!!

Have fun! It's totally do-able. I started it back in Feb and although I never lost any weight (only 5-10lbs to lose so not a big deal) I feel so much better. Really toned and strong. I still do it about 3-4 days/week and on other days I use another one of her workout DVD's. After 30 days you can easily start over with level 1 and really push it. I follow the advanced moves and have added weights to the cardio (like in level 3).

For me, I have needed to throw in a 30-40 minute walk to help me with the weight loss that I want. That and watching portion control and what I eat. I think I lost my first 1lb!!

Good luck!

Did it! Well, most of it - I took tiny breaks as needed - still worked hard!

I order it on Monday. It's on its way here.

OMG - I'm SO much more sore today than I was yesterday. My legs, my back, my arms.... yowza!!

I love this workout! I started it last month... I'm on level 2 right now (I missed a few days in a row due to traveling so I started my 10 day cycle again on level 2) and I have noticed a HUGE difference in my body. Not so much weight loss, which I'm not too concerned about as I'm happy with my weight, but I love how toned my body has become! I've noticed a big difference in my arms, shoulders and legs. My abs are toning up too... it's really put a dent in that "I've had 3 kids" belly pooch. I'm not dreading bathing suit season for once!

However, I have to admit, I'm kind of scared for level 3. Level 2 leaves me a sweaty, stinky mess... I can only imagine what level 3 is going to do to me!

I do this video on occasion on days I don't run. It's a GREAT workout for only 30 minutes. Even the few days a week have made quite a difference in my toning and strength.

BTW, level 3 is quite a challenge, but I see the most results when I do that workout.

As I figured it would be. My soreness is slowly going away but I actually like it - let's me know that things are working and that I'm doing the workouts the right way. I'm on day 4 now and am starting to get a little bored with level 1. But I think I'll give it a couple of more days....

I found level 3 to be "easier" than level 2. I suppose it depends on the person, but I felt like it was less stress on my joints than level 2. Still very hard, but I like level 3 best of all. I need to get back on track doing the video. I got really bored with it so gave it up, but I should get back to it because it does work.

I also find level 2 pretty much on par with level 3. I've seen a lot of posts from women who find level 2 to be the most difficult, actually.

Good for you! I´m restarting again... for the 100th time but I think I can actually stick with it this time becaus we visiting the in-laws for a few weeks so they can watch DD while I do it (otherwise she tries to sit on top of me for anything on the floor ).

I´m taking advantage of the extra child care help and doing level 1 and level 2 straight in a row. I´ve done it for the last few days and OH MY GOODNESS am I sore!!!! But it a good way. I don´t have any weights here so that does make it a bit easier so my hope by the time we get home I can do the same with the weights and still survive.

I haven´t tried level 3 yet but hopefully I get there soon!! I have a lot of weight to loose so I really need to stick with this...

I think that level 3 was much harder for me than level 2 because I'd been running and not doing much upper body exercise when I started the Shred video. Level 3 is more focused on plank hold type exercises and ab moves. Since level 2 is higher impact, I was used to that from the running.

I just started level 2 today after finishing level 1 - so a good 40 min workout for me. I like level 2 MUCH better than level 1. I was getting way bored with it. So I think I'll stick to level 2 for 2 weeks and then level 3 for the last 10 days.

My knees are killing me though so I'm going to have to keep my eye on Anita on some of the exercises to keep them modified so that I can still walk the next day!!

Strength and tone I've noticed in arms and somewhat in my thighs and I'm only on day 6!

That´s what I´ve been doing too and I also noticed yesterday my knees started hurting... I wonder if it´s all the squats? But the good part is, is that I´ve definitely noticed some improvements in the way my clothes fit! I don´t have a scale right now but even these small improvements are encouraging.

How much weight are you guys using for the hand weights?
It's a great workout and Jillian Michaels is the bomb. I have never even seen her Biggest Loser show. I just love her solid, science based approach to fitness.
I did 30 Day Shred for the month of May. I made some great strides in strength and endurance. Not much weight loss because I didn't pay enough attention to my diet. I just finished week 1 of her book, Making the Cut. Seriously keeping track of my calories and following the program to the letter. My waist is down an inch!

I'm using 5lb handweights. At the beginning, I regretted choosing that much weight because it was definitely a struggle and I was super sore afterwards, but I'm glad I did as it built up my endurance quickly and I can push through any shoulder or arm exercise required during the workout!

She just knows what she's talking about. I've been watching TBL from season 1. At first, I didn't like her attitude, but after a while, you get used to it and see that she really means business. She's very motivating and I look forward to doing the workout each night now. I've never been one to look forward to working out ANYTHING on my body!
I've noticed strength, mainly and a little toning in my arms and legs. I also tried on a pair of capris that I could even breathe in let alone zip completely a month ago at a local store today and they fit perfect now, so I bought 'em!
