DD just pooped in the toilet for the first time!

Since Saturday I've started potty learning with DD. One of the books I read and liked suggested putting her on the potty once or twice a day just for her to get familiar with sitting on it. I have been putting her on the toilet seat reducer once a day about 15 minutes after breakfast. She has her book and she's showing me pics when I hear the water splashing. It was a nice surprise because I haven't been expecting her to poop just get comfortable. I clapped my hands and told her how excited I am that she pooped in the potty. She seemed to have cared less but I'm still going to give her a sticker once I can find the ones I bought on clearance nearly 6 months ago. lol

What is this book? I must get it. My 20 month old is saying "pee" and pulls his pull up down but he won't go in the potty. He even watches daddy go and says "good job dada". LOL Help!

Aw, the first poop.

I am so jealous.

DD has completely potty trained herself in less than two weeks when it comes to pee. I did nothing but take her diaper off when she asked and then let her wear panties. I have had to do nothing but that. She even stays dry during naps, bedtime, and when we go out. She will even go pee on public potties. She pulls down her pants, wipes, flushes, and pulls up her pants. It is unbelievable.

But, she withholds her poos until I put her diaper on. It is kinda cute because she still does her poo in the privacy of the bathroom, just with her diaper on. We are just continuing to take a relaxed approach.

So, here's to being halfway there!

ETA: age: almost 2.

yay! We've been working on the potty since last week and so far, pees are almost all on the potty. But DS poops in the morning in his diaper before we get to him.

It's the 2nd edition of Mommy! I have to go potty! by Jan Faull. I got it from amazon because our library does not carry this. I am not even halfway through but I really like it. It gives tips for different children with different temperaments. It's not a "this is the way to potty train all children"kind of thing.

kcstarr, yay! I'm trying to not get overly excited because it was just one time but I am trying to remain quietly optimistic about the entire process which makes me very nervous.

I still can't find that darn potty reward chart.

Wow, I'm so impressed by your DD. How old is she? This is an encouraging toilet success story.
