Protein Powder Recommendation

I am having a tough time meeting my protein requirements; I am a vegetarian, but I can't eat dairy or soy due to allergies. So to top up my protein I have been having rice or hemp protein powders, I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a great brand or if anyone has other suggestions. Thanks

When I buy hemp protein powder I buy either Living Harvest brand or Nutiva

They are both kind of 'gritty' when added to smoothies but get the job done for adding more protein! I, too, am having a hard time getting my protein so I switch between hemp and whey protein for my smoothies.

A friend of mine uses NuLife's Matrix Meal Superfood Protein Shake. It's vegan and has no soy, dairy, or wheat,. Not sure how good it is, but it has 12 grams of protein per scoop.

or if Azure Standard is available to you, it's about $10 cheaper from them

This stuff looks awesome! But I noticed in the ingredients it has licorice root and maca- I know licorice is contra-indicated for pregnancy on most herbal pregnancy sites- I dont know about maca?

I love juice plus complete - it comes in dark chocalate and vanilla... both are super yummy, though I/we prefer choc

I will often throw some brown rice protein into my smoothie after a workout. http://www.nutribiotic.com/rice-protein.html
