HCG Level? - Page 2

got my results from my blood test yesterday. hcg levels were 580 yesterday. I think I am 19dpo. The nurse told me that was low but it looks like she didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Sounds perfect. I go in again tomorrow. They want to see the numbers double to rule out ectopic because of my history.

Got my third beta back this morning!

10 dpo - 20
14 dpo - 262
22 dpo - 8857!!

doubling time from 10-22 dpo is 33 hours! this is one strong baby!

Congrats on the beautiful numbers Korey!

trekkingirl, that nurse has made a few enemies around here for sure, your number is great, can't wait to see the results from the second test.

thanks, nintendork! these numbers ease a lot of (dumb) anxiety that I've been having.

trekkingirl - your number is right in the middle according to betabase! http://betabase.info/showDailyData.p...=Single&dpo=19 Besides, it's the doubling time that matters most!

My 2nd beta is finally back- 203!! 41.2 to 203 is a doubaling time of 20.8, which is a huge relief.

Korey- great numbers!!

Grow babies grow!

Yay burg!

See, that nurse was clueless! But it does look like you might have Oed later than you originally thought, huh?

& for all of us with strong, happy babies!

Great numbers ladies!!

I had my second draw today. 2 days ago at 15 dpo it was 332.
I'll find out tomorrow what my doubling time is, can't wait!

They didn't check my progesterone again, just at 15 dpo which was 37.8.

Do they usually just check it once or will they check it again later on?
I've never had a problem with progesterone, but I also have never had bloodwork done this early before...
finnegansmom - I had my progesterone checked at 10 dpo (17) and 14 dpo (19.5). My midwife called those numbers "phenomenal."

I'm not taking progesterone supplements but I do use a micronized progesterone cream. (I'd been using it for PMS and just figured I'd continue through the first trimester.)

Anyway, my midwife didn't want to check progesterone this time because she said it can go up and down at this point and that makes people like me unnecessarily nervous.

At 37.8, I'd say your progesterone was fantastic and nothing to worry about.

A friend of mine went in for her first ultrasound and they had difficulty finding the heartbeat (turned out it was too early) so they checked her progesterone. The test results said her progesterone was at 26 (she was between 5 and 6 weeks pregnant) and nothing to worry about so I would say that 37.8 is great!

Thanks for the reassurance!
I've never taken NPC or anything, i was told my loss was late enough that it wasn't progesterone related (most likely chromosonal at 12 weeks).
I usually don't get any kind of bloodwork or anything done this early but I'm so nervous this time around...I need to spazz down immediately or I'll drive myself crazy!

I think after I get my second # tomorrow I'll feel better.
I just took another HPT and the control line was darker than the test and way darker then the test 2 days ago so I feel happy about that.

Hi ladies! I though I'd add my numbers. I have a history of progesterone issues, so the OB did a blood draw the other day at 14dpo. Turns out, they did a beta too, although I won't be going back until 8 weeks so I won't know a doubling time. (I'll switch to my midwife, who is yet-TBD, after the 8-week u/s):

Progesterone: 33.3
Hcg: 548

From everything I've read online, the hcg seems a little high for 14dpo, but the office said everything was "within normal range."

Thoughts?

After having two losses in September and October I am very happy to say that I think this baby is finally a sticky bean! My levels never went much over 200 with my last.
Here's what I got so far this time. I went in for a blood draw again today(24dpo) but won't get the results till Monday:

16DPO: 501
22DPO: 5,198

the results are in

wednesday hcg 580
friday hcg 2,078

that made me feel much better. I think I've got a sticky bean!

I had HCG levels tested last week on Wed and Fri. The numbers doubled in 40 hours, and were 332 and 750. Would I be a PITA crazy patient if I asked my midwife if I could get another draw this week? I think I would feel better if my number was in the thousands, not hundreds..... or am I being insane? or perhaps I sould rent a centrifuge and start drawing my own blood at home?

I don't think that that would make you a PITA or crazy, I am tempted to do the same!! OK, well maybe that just makes us both crazy
post #38 of 66
Maybe I'll call her later.....she is so hands off and the typical relaxed midwife. I'm afraid she's going to send me to an OB if I keep asking for testing.... Oy. I think I would feel better if I felt like puking and I know I should be patient but I can't be...

It more than doubled in less than 48 hours, I wouldn't worry at ALL. Looks like really healthy numbers to me!

(at the point you are at, most numbers double around every 2 days, yours doubled in 1.7 days)

Can you come more into my house for the next 35-36 weeks and remind me not to be coucou bird?

My midwife is letting me have another beta on wednesday so the diff will be 5 days from Fridays. I want to see #s above 1000. I need to work on "spazzing down" as my 3 year old says.
