BFN at 12DPO - game over? UPDATE - definitely BFN

After an ectopic and two miscarriages, we decided to go to an RE. Long story short, a battery of tests showed that “there’s nothing wrong” but he put me on Clomid to regulate my cycle and then on CD 12 I took an ovidrel shot. Today is 12DPO and I have just got a BFN. Is it game over if it’s a BFN at 12DPO? I am going for a blood test tomorrow but I am really despondent. I felt like the only thing going for us was that we conceived easily (first month, every time we try) so I was really expecting this to work.

UPDATE: So the blood test showed that this cycle on Clomid was unsuccessful. I am very despondent. One thing I did notice was how thick my EWCM was. I know some people take robitussin to thin things out - can anyone recommend timing, dosage, frequency, etc? I am ready to cry at this point, I really am.

I got a BFN on 12DPO. Got a BFP on 15DPO.

I'd be cautiously optimistic.

you not out of the game this month until you get a pd. I have NEVER had a + 12dpo I ranged between day 14-17 literally very agonizing but went on with healthy pg.

With my DS(born 12-14-08) I got a BFN 14DPO and it tool until 17DPO to get a semi readable line...you still have time. You're not done until you're bleeding. Wow....didnt mean for that to sound so harsh...but it's true. Until AF rides in on her broomstick, you're not done. I have my fngersx'd for you!!!!! GL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me a bfn at 12dpo is usually game over. But I realize that isn't true for everyone. And just because I've gotten my bfp's by 12dpo in the past doesn't mean it will continue to happen with subsequent pregnancies. I'm so sorry for your losses. I am sure that you feel desperate to conceive after being through so much. Hopefully it won't take long again.

It's not over until it's over... That's what I tell myself, at least (I'm on CD 51 ). But, really - even when you know you are 12 DPO, there is still hope for a BFP.

Best of luck.
