we just moved into a small one bedroom apartment, we being my almost 3 year old and myself. she is with me sun pm - thurs am primarily, and her dad thurs pm - sun am. we've shared a room since she was born, but up until now i have been able to fit both her bed and mine in the same room. the bedroom here is so small and it has a little hallway to the bathroom off of it, along with a closet, window, and the main door to our apartment (i know, weird)...so i have my bed set up in there now, and her bed is kind of...sitting there...awkwardly...needing to be moved elsewhere, and i have nowhere else to put it.
do your cosleeping children have their own bed/room as well? is it perfectly normal to put her bed in storage or sell it on craigslist (it's a toddler bed...it's not going to last her forever) and just use my bed? i feel like this is a parent-fail...by not providing a bed for her, that i'm depriving her of something children should have? i mean...morally, i think cosleeping is fine - she doesn't NEED her own room. but, if it ever came down to a family court issue or something, would they question my parenting choices for not providing a space and bed for her?
