Early Ultrasound? Post here! - Page 6

I went in at 6 weeks 5 days and saw the HB...you should be fine. The HB was seen with a lower resolution machine as well.

3 more days...mine is on Thursday. I'm a nervous wreck! It's not until 4:30 pm EST...I don't know how I'll get through the day!!



It might very well be too early to see a hb at 6w1d...I hope you won't be too disappointed if you don't!! With both of my kids I had a u/s done at just over 6w and another at around 7 - which is when we saw the hb.

Thanks Ladies!

I didn't have an ultrasound with my twins until I was almost 9 weeks and by then I was so in shock that I was having twins that I don't remember much else. lol
I *know* 6w1d will probably be early to see much of anything, but my emotional self really wants to see a HB.

I just had my early ultrasound this morning, measuring at 7w5d- and it was abdominal. (THANK GOODNESS.)

Baby looks perfect, heartbeat is 150, and has cute little paddles. Here's a photo!

Everything looked good, I guess. Since I'm unsure of my O date, I wasn't surprised when all the tech could find was a gest. sac measuring exactly one week behind what I though I was. Gest sac was measuring 5 wks, LMP dates me at 6w1d. So I'm not concerned, and there's only 1.

I'm going back in 2 weeks to recheck.

Had my u/s today. Tech wouldn't give me any news and we didn't see hb. Saddens me to know end as I have no idea what's going on. Trying to stay as positive as I can but it's really hard.

Caught the machine saying I'm about 7w3d (lmp has me as 8w3d). She did the abdominal one first and said "that sucker is just too small to see. We'll do a transvag."

Saw little arm stubs, the making of the face, tail, things like that, just no heartbeat. Tech said it "could be too early".

Hope yours goes better, thankful.

Sorry things are questionable. What kind of machine were they using?
I measured 7w3d at my ultrasound last week, and we saw a heartbeat, but it wasn't in your face...I don't recall having an u/s this early before and generally by 13 or 20 weeks the heartbeating is pretty obvious. It was just a very very faint little flickr. Maybe if they were using a not-so-sensitive machine it might not pick it up. It's a great sign that you saw arm stubs and everything because that is indicative of 7 weeks....
Did they reschedule for you?

Don't know what type of machine it was. All I know is it was huge and the screen was kinda small. Didn't reschedule. All the tech said was the doctor will have the results by noon and sent me on my way. I'm thinking I'm going to call to see what they have to say.

MindlessChrissy, sorry the U/S didn't go that well. I hope it turns out well. s:


I had my U/S today, and mine was perfect. And abdominal.
It looks like 8+4 is right, Popcorn has a strong heartbeat, and defined head and body. And Popcorn moves!

Chrissy, I hope you get good news from the doc.

afm, I had my first u/s today and everything went great. The "jellybean" is measuring 7w 3d giving me an official due date of Valentine's day. I feel so relieved. I did bring my dd with me and the tech was very nice to her and I'm glad she came. She has dubbed the baby "jellybean" because that's what it looked like.

I'm back!! Thankfully everything looks great! Baby is measuring 7w2d so just one day ahead. When she first tried to measure it came up as 6w...but I guess she wasn't getting the whole baby in the picture because when she moved the wand around a bit it started measuring right on track and even a little ahead.
The little heart was beating away...I saw it almost immediately and almost started crying. 130 bpm....she said it looks good and will probably get faster as I get further along.

So happy for you ladies! Glad your u/s' went perfectly. I think I'm out of the game. Have an appt to see the doc tomorrow morning. So I'll know more then.

I have 1 today, I am a day away from 7 wks, will post results later

edit:
results as of 7/5
They did the non vaginal one, they did not find much other then a large womb and thick lining (even I can feel the bump with minimal effort), they are having the doc. there look at it, it was just the tech looking at it.
Think I should have peed more or propped myself up differently, and asked for the vaginal one

I also started another very weak period thing....think this one has lased a total of 2 hours (started bleeding 6hrs ago). also..I KEEP SNEEZING and none of my preggo symptoms left yet.
