Good safety locks for doors?? REALLY NEED ADVICE!!

Hi all. Well I am really having a hard time keeping my kids out of rooms they shouldnt get into. We just moved into a new house recently and we have the handles that you pull on instead of a doorknob, I guess this is to make it handicap accessible. Anyway, we did find some of the locks for these doors from toysrus

But my son gets them open so easily... Can anyone recommend an alternative for me?? I really need something that they cant figure out! I appreciate any advice! Thanks everyone

Can you install eyehook locks up near the top of the door where only adults can reach? (this would only work, I guess, if you didn't need to keep the door locked when you were actually in the room).

we replaced the lever door handles with round ones and then got the knob covers. We just got the cheep door knobs and will put the lever ones back on in a year or so

Thanks for the tips.. My husband doesnt want to really put anything on the doors that involves using screws. We are renting this house and he doesnt want to put holes in the wood I guess... We had thought about maybe changing the door handles to doorknobs though if I could find something for the lever handle to keep it locked that would probably be best.... I just havent found anything good yet...
