Fleece covers in summer?

Hi all, my 15 lb and gaining 3 mo ds is really outgrowing his size small Bummis, so I might finally get around to making those fleece diaper covers that I had planned to make before he was born. (So much for the first babies come late theory). But I'm wondering, will fleece be too hot for summer? I mean I'm not regularly putting him in fleece pants at this point, so would two layers of fleece diaper covers be too hot?

no. not any hotter than using a pul cover anyway.
