How accurate are OPKs for pregnancy testing?

Seems like I remember reading that you can use OPKs as pregnancy tests, as well. Is this true? How accurate are they?

Well, by the time you would get a positive on an OPK, you would have a blaring positive on an HPT since the OPKs are not as sensitive - but yes, you can use them.

The only thing is that you can have a line show up pretty much at all times on an OPK and I know a lot of women have a darker (but not positive) OPK right before AF - so it's kind of a crapshoot - I'd just stick to HPTs.

for me they were correct. They have to be + like if you were getting ready to O + looking to be used as a hpt.

I was missing a bunch of temps and was using target brand opks thinking i was about to O. well after 5 days of + opks, someone suggested a hpt.

i took it and it was blaring + on what turned out to be 14dpo. I had started getting + opks on what was 9dpo.
