He is 13lbs 11oz!
28 inches long! ...
With a 16 and a bit head circum!

Wow - shes a chunker all right!...I mean, Hamish is big for his age ( 6 weeks today) ...but hes not that chunky! ...hes just big! lmao

Hey! That's what Charlie weighed today... but he's 5" shorter! I guess that makes him a total chunk.

hamish is REALLY tall! wow! nice one! huck is 13 lbs 7.5 oz, but only 23 5/8 inches long. he has an incredible buddha belly.

Yeah, Becky is 14lbs 14 oz and 25 inches long at 2 months. My 2.5 year old weighs 21 lbs. Wanna bet Becky will outweigh her in a few months? Heh.

28 inches? wow!! Judah is 24.5 inches at two months and tht is like the 95-97th percentile! Talk about off the charts!

He is also 14 lbs!! my big chunk!

Kelsey got weighed yesterday - 13 lbs 9 oz and 23 and 3/4 inches long. Up 4 and 1/2 lbs in 5 weeks. But 28 inches long? That is nuts! You grow tall boys Ann

I really don't think he will stay 'tall' though. I am only 5'4 and DH is only 5'10!
Duncan was 'tall' too - but not that tall. He was 25 inches at birth - so a few inches shorter than Hamish....At four he finally 'averaged' out - but was always 'tall' for his age before that! With him, the height predictor only predicted he would be 5'8 when full grown. So thats not terribly tall in the end!
But I remember being pretty tall for my age as a child - and then suddenly I just stopped growing around 11/12 years of age. I havn't grown in height since! (just width! lol)

Lysander is 13 pounds at 5.5 weeks. He put on a pound a week for the first four weeks, but seems to have slowed down this week.

I'm curious, what clothing sizes are your large babies into? L wears 6 month sleepers because anything smaller won't work with his long torso and bulky cloth diapers. For everything else, he fits into 3 month or 3-6 month sizes.

3-6 if it is just like - a tshirt. And 6-9 if its an outfit/all in one.
To be buying 6-9 month clothing for my ONE month old baby...lol

My Cecilia is SO tiny! I wonder if I'm supposed to be worried about it...she just reached 9 lbs, and will be 2 months on Sunday. We officially graduated out of preemie clothes about a week and a half ago.

I was just thinking the same thing. My baby is 8lbs and 20 inches as of today and he's 9 weeks. I thought that was pretty normal until I started reading all of your posts....But then again, everyone is different.

Tiny babies are loverly! - I wanted a tiny baby! Cecilia sounds VERY normal/average in size! hehe She looks healthy and happy too! She is also reaching her milestones just fine as well. So - nothing to worry about hun!

I am actually hurt that my health visitor assumed I had gestational diabetes! She was talking about how they would have to check up on my blood sugars again...I said eh? \(cause I seriously dont do needles! lol) They checked that (and my iron) when I was stuck in labour at the hospital and it was only my iron that wasn't good. She was just all....'oh'. Like I can't grow a big baby without being dopped up on sugar or what?! I really really tried for a tiddler you know! They just seem to be getting bigger - DS1 was 10 and a half pounds!

Ann, I hear you on the gestational diabetes nonsense. People assumed that my 10 lbs 2 oz daughter must have been the result of gestational diabetes, so I controlled sugars and ate lots of protein and wound up with an 11 lber. We only got up to 9 lbs 12 oz this time, in spite of being my longest pregnancy ever, and we're pretty sure there was something weird going on making my daughter be so big. There's hope!!!

No comparing babies! I have kids all over the spectrum - DD2 is in the 3rd percentile (22 lbs at 2.5), DD1 is in the 60th (38 at 4.5) and Becky is in the 98th (nearly 15lbs at 2 months). They are all healthy, happy, and growing at their own rate. Don't over think it. If you start comparing now, you'll spend the next year worried, because there are going to be a lot of milestones, and they'll all reach them at different times.

Carrying her around all day is hard. Every morning I look at her and she literally is more tremendous than the day before.
I dont even know why I got that dumb carseat carrier thing. My other ones out weighed in by 4 months. I should have figured before wasting the money.

Do you other moms who have rapidly growing chubbers have over supply and forceful let down issues?
My babies never eat when they are full, but I wonder if the chubbines is because they fill up so fast and get more than normal. My milk doesnt regulate until about 6 months, and until then I can only feed from one side and Im still constantly pouring and leaking milk.
Or- its just the way some babies are.

I think its just the way some babies are ( and I wouldn't say either of my boys are/wer particularly 'chunky' - they are just...big! lol) - but that is the way my boobs are as well! I always thought that maybe one reason I grow big babies, is that I have the supply right away to be able to feed them! lol

I don't. I actually have never leaked milk, don't get engorged and my milk takes about 5-7 days to come in after birth. Yet I've grown two 90 percentile babies.
