I am seeing a rather laid back midwife so I am not technically being classified as GD but I am pretty close. I got a 152 (normal is 110-130) on my 1-hour glucose test that was done with eating a meal rather than the nasty sugar syrup drink. So I was sent home with a monitor to watch myself.
This morning I thought I'd be good with plain whole milk yogurt (12 gram protein) doctored up with some berries, nuts & wheat germ.
Not so much! I got a 150. So I guess I am not doing as well as I thought.
I need serious protein ideas! I am tired of eating so much faux meat & I am not always a big fan of tofu. I know that getting enough protein at breakfast is most important but nothing seems to be enough other than eggs or veggie sausages. The rest of the day I don't ahve to worry quite aas much but still need suggestions as I am bored already & have about 10 weeks to go.
