No progress at check-up but labor not long after? - Page 2

Never had internal exams with labor (for this very reason... discouraging and meaningless) but with DD2, I had absolutely no signs of labor, started feeling a little crampy on my EDD, and had a baby 3 hours later. I was very surprised!

Hope your vbac goes great!

Yup - I gave in and got checked at 42+6 weeks with DD and wasn't at all dilated. Went into labour the next evening and had DD at 43+1. I honestly thought I was never ever going to go into labour!! But we all do - no one stays pregnant forever

That's what I told my husband Even though at this point it's hard to believe it will ever happen!

My 2nd VBAC at 3ish pm the day before she was generous calling me a fingertip dialated and 10% effaced. He was born just after 11pm the next day!

With both of my babies, I had no dilation until labor. In fact, with #2, I don't think there was any dilation happening, in an 18 hour total labor, until about 2-3 hours before he was born.
