How would you clean this pump?

My sister gave me a pump that she used twice and I'm wanting to clean it but not sure of the best way. This is the pump:

It says in the pump info to hand wash it. That's what I'd do. I never boil my pump parts, I did with DD and soon realized our hard water was ruining it with calcium deposits.
