Love this thread! Well, we're getting there...
*the major baby furniture, except a changing table (DD has a dresser/changing table combo, so can't re-use)
*almost all the baby "gear" we need
*all the nursing/pumping/bra stuff I need
*diapers - I want to go cloth this time, and haven't bought a single thing. That is this week's project!
*sling or ergo insert - DD was tiny, and I didn't have anything I could carry her in until almost 3 months, so I definitely want something to carry baby around in
*clothes. I'm now understanding why its nice NOT to know what your babe is going to be.... we knew DD was a girl, and have a gazillion girly clothes, but very few gender neutral things we can reuse
*extra co-sleeper sheet
* a few small bottles so DH can feed baby while I go to class one night a week
*bitty clothes hangers, though probably not as many for a boy, since I won't be hanging up little pink dresses
*post-partum belly wrap
*ok, I am seriously considering a box of Depends... post partum was just so messy and annoying last time, I am wondering if these would help! Anyone tried these before?
*maybe breastmilk storage bags? I think I have some left over from last time around, but can't seem to find them...
*maybe a few actual nursing tops? I found a few shirts I had that worked last time, but would love to have a couple of tops that are really designed for the purpose.
*another car seat so that DH can drop her off at pre-school on his way to work so babe and I can sleep in and nurse 3 mornings a week!
*a new toy/few books so she has something fun to play with when we come home from the hospital
*freezer meals!!! We are blessed in that we belong to a church where we have a really active "food to parents of new babies" ministry, so starting about a week after DS comes, we should have help, but that will only last so long, and I'd like to reduce my cooking chores post-partum as much as possible
Does lansinoh go bad? I have plenty left, but not sure if it's still "good"
