Thanks to God, she's arrived! It was a surprisingly quick and very intense birth - - my fastest labor so far (she's #4).

Started mild contrax at 3:45 am with bloody show. Contrax started to hurt in earnest at about 8 a.m. and by 8:30 it began to be really difficult. Baby came in 3 pushes at 10:25 a.m. Surprisingly, the water didn't help this time, so I got out, and birthed on the couch. (and eww, it's pretty ruined...!)

No name yet, but we're thinking on it...

I'm back! I feel like I've been gone from the boards for so long... Surprisingly, the couch is alive!! Who knew you could get so much blood and yuck out of it? Go, hubby, go!

Congrats Mama, both on the new sweetie-pie and dh's good cleaning skills!! LOL.

I was gonna say, just scrub the heck outta it, and if any stains are leftover, couch covers are pretty cheap and youv'e got a permanent reminder of your LO's entrance into the world. (With 7 kids, I know how icky couches get, and I cant even use giving birth on one for how gross mine are!!!)

Sounds like your birth went great. I had an intense labor too, I know how hard it can be to cope with ctx that just hit you with all they've got. So glad your babygirl is here. Enjoy her!
