What do you use Witch Hazel for?

NAK

I have some witch hazel (14% alcohol) that I rarely think to use. What all is it good for? I'm trying to gradually switch to more all natural stuff. Surely there's something I could be using it for? I originally bought it for postpartum & then didn't like anything cold!

TIA!

Hemorrhoid relief. Some people swear by it as a facial toner... I swear I've also used it to help with cuts or scars or something in the past, but now I can't remember what for sure.

sometimes I add to the wipes, use for cleaning a small cut or relieving a burn, also think it can be useful if you have a yeast infection, for relief

I love it as a toner and refresher during the day. Although Witch Hazel with Alcohol can be drying, so not sure it would be best for your face.

I use it on poison ivy to help dry it out.

It also seems to work as itch relief on bug bites.

Awesome!

Don't know why I didn't think to ask y'all sooner!

Thanks for all the ideas! Now maybe I can use this bottle up within the next two years! It's been sitting here for two years, largely unused. I didn't know what to use it for but couldn't bring myself to toss it!

Thanks again,

I was going to use mine in wipes, but the alcohol (duh!) stung my LO. So I put the little spray bottle of witch hazel & wipe concentrate on the back of our toilet, and I started using it whenever I had my period, to sort of clean things up now and then. Once the bottle was empty, I just refilled it with witch hazel and left out the wipe solution.

It totally prevents razor burn/ rashes after shaving and ingrown hairs!
I love it

This is awesome. If you add a couple of drops of tea tree oil, it really helps the itching and dries it out.

I use it as a toner and on cuts

It'll dry out oozy rashes very nicely-- like poison ivy, or cold sores, or impetigo. I also use it on insect bites.

i also read in a magazine once that it is supposed to help shrink pores.
