Anybody interested in starting a Mpls based playgroup?

I live in Eden Prairie and would love to meet up with other mamas of the same mind. I have a 4 year old boy who could use some more social interaction as well!
I've never seen a mpls playgroup listed here and thought why not start one!

Hi, How do you feel about the API (attachment parenting) yahoo list and their playgroups?

Are you considering homeschooling? There are many (social, etc.) groups in the Twin Cities for homeschoolers.

Is there an API playgroup in this area? I went to the website and found nothing.

There is alot of homeschooling groups in my area, but I'm not planning on homeschooling.

These are the play groups. Also consider stopping by Parenting Oasis for an indoor, hang out with momma play group on any Tuesday.

I would be. I work part-time, but I work on Tuesday. So I can't do that Parenting Oasis group, though I'm a Facebook fan of it. I definitely need more mom friends, and I'd love for my two year old to have more playmates.

There is a new Wednesday API playgroup that has rotating locations and is in St Paul for 2 weeks of the month. Join the API list, come to playgroups. It is how I have met just about everyone I know here

There are Monday playgroups, PO on Tuesday, Wednesday playgroups, Thursday playgroups and Friday playgroups! You could go somewhere everyday and most are in Mpls.

I agree... start coming to the API playgroups. Join the yahoo list for all the info:

These playgroups are wonderful, welcoming, and one of the best things that ever happened to me.

I gotta start going to the API playgroups again! Isn't the family camping trip comming up? Wanted to go last year, but was just too busy!

Yes, the family camping trip is this weekend, Thursday through Sunday.

There is a potluck at noon on Saturday for everyone, even if you decide not to camp. Here is the info:

Please join us for a potluck picnic at the Hyland Lake Group Camp (Sumac Knoll)o n Saturday, June 19th starting at 11 am.

EVERYONE is invited -- you don't have to be signed up for the camping trip to come to the potluck.

We will have the picnic at the shelter located at the group camp site. Please bring your family, a dish to share, your water bottles, plates and utensils. There is no need to RSVP to this event -- just come eat with us! HOPE YOU CAN MAKE IT!
