fave babywearing positions for gardening?

Tell me how you like to do it. I'm working with a 14 lb almost-4-month-old, an ergo, a moby, and a ring sling, and have yet to find something that really works for us with all of the bending over, kneeling, wheelbarrow-pushing and digging that needs to be done. She is sooo done with facing in while awake and anyway the front carries are beginning to feel unwieldy.

Thoughts?

Back carry? Sitting on stroller watching you? (for part of the time?)

in the ergo? is she old enough for that, do you think?

How is her head control? Do you have a reflective surface you can check on her often? (I looked at my car windows to check) It depends on the baby, your skill at wearing her etc... My babies tended to have pretty good control early so I would wear on the back earlier, but take short times of it untill yr both used to it (loved my ergo for gardening!)

Back carry in the ergo or a quilt on the ground w/ some toys if she'd be happy that way. Maybe prop up an umbrella for some shade for her.

I think the back carry should be fine. I started back carrying dd around 4 months.

Hmm, just another thought - this is my first baby, so I have no basis for comparison on what "good head control" means. I'm guessing that she has it, since we haven't felt the need to support her head for at least like a month, whether in arms, bumbo, carrier, whatever. Right? Sorry if that seems like a dumb question.

I'd get her on my back in the ergo. Moby's aren't good for back carries.
