The family practice doctors seem to be better with non-traditional vaxing.
Almost all drs I'd be wary of regarding retraction- even a good doctor may think gentle retraction is okay and I'd always recommend being very specific about your wishes and being on guard (reminding them, too) at every appointment.
(gen location would help too(-:
Family Practice Group in Arlington has been great for us. We don't vax, I get a half-hearted 15 second spiel once every couple years or so but that's it. They are good about not circing, but one practitioner ONE time (who is no longer there) started to retract ds when he was 4 months old, this was nearly 5 years ago. I moved her hands away and have never had any other issue with any other practitioner.
We go to Arlington Pediatrics- Dr. Fisher. He definitely believes in vaxing, but he doesn't bother us at all about our decision not to vax. When I mentioned not retracting at our first visit (my son was a year or so when we transfered to his practise) he seemed not at all surprised. I think he said "oh, there's no need to do that"
we go to either dr horowitz or his np maureen and while we have done an extremely delayed schedule and are no where near up to date, i cant imagine they would have issues with non vaxing. i would guess they both vax their own kids, but just by judging their clientele, they have to have atleast a handful on non vaxers. their practice is in danvers near the mall.
