Do beans freeze well? If so, how long do they last?

TIA!

They freeze pretty well. They do get a bit mushy in the process, but i just use them for refried or hummus or something similar. I fully cook then portion them out in 2 cup sizes w their liquid and freeze them that way. Ive had them last several months, but i go through them fairly quickly.

I recently started freezing beans after my husband convinced me of the dangers of canned food with a horde of links They do get a little mushy in the freezing process, but I think they're pretty swell. It's funny to pull a bag of beans out the the freezer in the morning to defrost in the sink until dinner, like my mother did with beef when I was little. ahaha. buying bulk beans has helped us save on our grocery budget and cut back on waste. We eat them pretty quick, so I can't say how long they last. I think our oldest bag was a couple weeks elderly and they were still good.
