Hey Ladies!!!!

My name is Jessica and just recently I made the switch to cloth! I'm looking for some more friends who CD and can share info maybe even swap diapers! This is probably one of the best choices I've ever made!

couple of question for you ladies

What's you're favorite kind of cloth? What do you prefer, fitted, pockets, OS, AIO? What kinda of soap do you use on yours diapers?

Jess

I just started too...

I've only been using cloth for a week but i'm so in love.haha( i dont know anyone in real life that cloth diapers)
So what kind of diapers do you have in your stash? So far i've got fuzzibunz perfect size and os and prefolds with thirsties duo wraps..
hope to hear about your experience so far...

I've only been CDing for about 2 weeks really (dd is 8 weeks old), but I'm loving AIOs and pockets the most. I know a lot of people hate them, but they're just really easy.

However I'm already having some cleaning issues, so I reserve the right to completely change my mind!

I have tried about everything, but love prefolds and a blueberry one size cover with pockets for night. I used to do full time pockets but got sick of stuffing and then I did all prefolds but my girl has a sensitive butt so we do pockets at night.

I have been cloth diapering for two kids (3 1/2yrs total now including 2 in diapers at once) I love cloth even after all this time. I have tried every soap out there and have found Charlies Soap to be the best hands down!

Hope you love your diapering experience and if you think of anymore questions we love talking diapers around here!

Welcome to Mothering it is a great place to be!!!

I love cloth LOL We have been doing it for about 2 months now and I have become addicted to it! I've even started making my own wipes! I dont regret the change at all!! I worried that it was going to be hard to keep up with my laundry and what not but honestly it has helped me keep up more with my laudry! I dont get backed up any more have to do a weeks worth of laundry for a family of 6 of laundry in one day LOL Plus my babies butts are cute! I am kinda bumming though that I dont have prints! I want some festive diapers for the 4th and what not and I dont have them ...... kinda breaks my cloth loving heart! LOL

Lets see in my stash I have BumGenius, Happy Heinys, and Pouponds! I am also getting a cover from a friend of mine who makes her own diapers!

Also I heard that rockin green is a realy good soap to use! Did you try that one out as well, Katie?
I haven't tried the rockin Green. Charlies is the only thing I have had to order and that is what I have stuck with because it works great for us, but everyone had different water, it didn't work for my cousin who lives 5 miles away lol. I have heard of people really liking it though!

I have tried everything at places like Walmart and the natural food stores.

I have Bum Genius, (have but lent out Green Acres Designs pockets, Haute pockets, knicker nappies pockets, Mommy's Touch pockets, and then 3 dozen prefolds, 1 dozen flats, Blueberry one size covers, maybe 6 of them, a couple homemade ones I made 1 other I can't think of the name of and a few used ones I think they are wisper wraps that have snaps.

I converted my BG to snaps when the aplix gave out and since I realized how short of a life it has I have only gotten snap covers.

My girl keeps playing around with potty learning and it makes me sad to think my cloth diapering day are limited.

Funny how you get to like cloth diapering so much that you'll be sad when they PL! I feel like that too.
I have fuzzi bunz Perfect size, DH loves them, and prefolds with Thirsties covers and a couple of Lite wraps plus a wool cover (my favorite!)
At night I use a fuzzi bunz stuffed with a microfiber insert plus a microterry doubler or prefold which works great.

oh yeah, I use Arm & Hammer free and clear for the past 6 months and have no problems with it

My favorites are prefolds with Swaddlebees ABC snap wraps. I also keep around a stash of Velcro-closing fitteds (Cozy Cubs) for my mom, who changes a lot of diapers and strongly prefers these. As far as "easy" diapers for daycare, when DD1 was a baby I liked Bumkins AIO's and BumGenius pockets, but now we have a bunch of Fuzzi Bunz....

I'm totally new to this as well! I've been doing it for about 10 days. I have a total of 6 diapers that I wash everynight. I'm using BG AIO (3 aplix, 1 organic OS) and FB (OS and perfect fit) and I prefer the FB, they dry much faster. I'm still working on building up w hat I have but I'm on a tight budget so this is what I'm using for now. I'm just using liquid Tide to wash. I also use a disposible at night too. I also have 2 GM's on consignment because I want to use the money from selling those to get something else.

I am thinking of getting some GMD prefolds and some covers and trying that route.

I need to figure out a better plan for poopy diapers though. They are a PITA right now!

Mangomommy, prefolds and covers are my favorite! They are not expensive and I've never had a poop blowout with them. The only reason I have Fuzzi bunz is because someone gave me them but I like prefolds the best.
I used only Thirsties covers until recently and they just never leaked.
How old is your LO? If it's just EBF poops they are easy.

oops, never mind I see how old now! The poop just washes out in the wash you don't have to soak the diapers or anything. I do a cold rinse first and then the hot wash.
