anyone know what spotting on 4/5 dpo could mean?

What are the possible explanations of spotting on 4/5 dpo?
All i can think of is-

1.short luteal phase, ...ok, but ive never had a luteal phase that short. Ive definitely had a 8 day luteal phase because im nursing though, but 4/5 days?

2.implantation spotting? Unlikely, way too early. Plus, ive never had implantation spotting before

3.something else, cyst, or some other thing, maybe random and harmless

4.cycle gone completely mad....although i did have all the signs of Oing this month and things seem pretty normal so far


Anyone else care to guess??

its not too early for implantation! I have no clue where everyone is getting that implantation cannot happen before 7dpo... 7dpo is the average and implantation can happen in a wide range of days both before and after it.

Thanks for the encouragement. The thing is, ive been trying to confirm ovulation, and thought that i had, especially this morning with another high temp.

Then a bit of brown blood....again

I always have a temp drop before a period, even if its on the early side.

Also, a cyst is supposed to be painful, and i have no pain.

Fingers crossed it implantation spotting
