Tasty foods

How do you make foods tasty for your lo's, especially veggies? For example, if making zucchini, asparagus, green beans, etc. TIA!

I roast asparagus in the oven with a little garlic and olive oil.
I make a mean sesame ginger green bean dish.
Zucchini is really nice grilled or roasted.

And I don't expect her to eat more than a few pieces, if that!

I would love some suggestions. My DS was awesome about eating pureed veggies, and still will, but give him any veggie in real form now(14mo) and he acts like he's gagging before it hits his mouth.

Should I keep feeding pureed veggies so he's getting some, or keep trying with the real thing?

I either roast or BBQ a lot of our veggies. Asparagus I toss with olive oil and lemon pepper seasoning and then we BBQ them or roast them in the oven... DD and DS2 just gobble them up that way. They also love when I make green beans this way. Carrots, I slice them up, melt some butter in a pot, throw in the carrots and a couple cloves of some thinly sliced garlic, cover and let cook for about 12 minutes. Very tasty. Broccoli can also be made in a similar way.

When I serve raw veggies (carrots, peppers, broccoli, cucumbers, etc.), I serve them with hummus or ranch dressing as the kids love to be able to dip them.

there are a lot of good suggestions on weelicious dot com. I'm not really using it for my 14 mo old yet, but they look great for slightly older toddlers.
