Holy moly about the pediatrician...
Most people I know in person say, "I have the flu" whenever they have a sniffle. They don't understand that "the flu" is not a common cold or allergies. I'm not sure we can then expect them to understand that flu strains provide immunity in of themselves..sheesh.
We have a household of 7 (and I'm pregnant). I can say that we have never had a flu episode around here. Some colds ranging from minor to severe, a couple of tummy viruses (my least fav) and that's it. We've never had seasonal flu or H1N1 vax's. I prepared for cold and flu season this year by adjusting our supplements, and having an arsenal of homeopathics and herbals to treat illnesses head on. We were barely sick this year, but I'm fully prepared for the future, and realize we could get the flu..I just believe we're ready to treat it, and all of us would be able to fight it off naturally.
