I'm not glad your hear, I'd have loved it if you'd snuck off to I'm pregant! But I am glad your still about to chat while we wait.

Sometimes their not much to say while we just all wait for a bpf.

Someone do some inspirational cooking so we all get hungry!

Hi Silverbird!

This thread has sort of died down, maybe because it isn't summer anymore? I am mostly on the TTC #1 for those in their 30's...

As for cooking, I've got some chickpeas in the crockpot so I can make some hummus. I don't know how inspirational that is, but it's from scratch and much tastier than store bought.

And you are absolutely right, we are just waiting and waiting it seems like, but I'm sure it will happen soon

Yeah, I guess we need a Fall thread. Maybe I'll start it up later.

AF found me. I am excited for this month though. It will be my first full cycle since weaning. And if I get prego I will be due 2 weeks after my b-day - and I went 2 weeks early last time.

See now how do you do that? My hummous never tastes as good as store brought!

Your right we need a autum thread. all though round here we could go straight to winter!

First I must say, to all the vegans!

Ok, hummus secrets: I don't soak the chickpeas before I put them in the slow cooker. They take a long time but they are in the slow cooker so I don't have to pay attention to them. About an hour before I drain them, I add a pinch of baking soda. Then I always whiz up the hummus when the chickpeas are hot/warm from cooking. I add a big dollop of tahini and no oil. I usually have to add a bit of water to get the right consistency. The rest is just seasoning to taste. This time I put in sun-dried tomatoes, which I soaked in hot water before hand to soften up.

Ok, so now I'm hungry and must go eat!

Ahhhh! I'm lazy and use canned chickpeas.  Mabey that makes the difference.

I used to use canned chickpeas and it never turned out quite right...so I bet cooking the chickpeas from scratch really makes a difference.

 

Cindy ~ sorry AF found you.  Crossing my fingers for you next cycle!  Having a baby on your birthday would be a wonderful present, wouldn't it?

Thanks Silverbird!  I am feeling bruised and sore but not as bad as everybody said I would be.  Doctor commented on my strong bones, which I attribute to lots of broccoli.
