What is the book that talks about all the different HS styles?

Last year I checked out a book from the library based on a recommendation here at MDC. It was a very thick book that described all the HS styles; Charlotte Mason, Classical, Unit Study, etc.

It also included an assessment that would guide me to the right style for me. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I think you are referring to Mary Pride's Big Book of Homeschooling. I have that book as a reference on my shelf because even though I know which direction I am going (for now) it also has tons of book reviews on everything homeschool.

Thank you, I think I figured it out. I'm pretty sure it was Cathy Duffy's Top 100 Picks.

It's for choosing a curriculum, but at the beginning it describes all the different methods and gives you a "quiz" to tell you what would fit your family.
