how did you find a fun class for your DC & what did they enjoy as a young toddler?

This may be a weird question, but I feel like I dont know where to begin.

DS is 22mo & I feel is ready to do some fun classes. Maybe music or dance - I dont really have anything set in my mind actually.

Where do I begin to look for something for him to do. I dont know any Moms around here. I will check out the phone book & maybe do a google search.

Any other ideas??
What did your kids like??

DD (19 months) usually attends day care, but when Grandma visits, they go to library classes. They have music, and stories, and are free.

This summer I will probably sign them up for a music class (park district) and for Gymboree. Our park district also has art classes for little ones, and dance/tumbling for kids over two.

ETA: we also did "swimming" last summer, and the class had a range of kids from 6 months-3 years. It was really more about playing games in the water with Mom or Dad. I don't know if we will try it again, or just go to the pool on our own.

We've done storytime off and on over the years with my toddlers, it is hit or miss, they often can't sit still during it. I can't stand the local Music Together teacher so we never do that. Swimming is something that we can all the time together but never as a class, I can teach the toddlers the same thing that they do in the Mom and Me classes, I wait and put them in swim lessons at 3+.

My toddlers have loved the Mom and Me gymnastics and dance classes. Gymnastics has also been the favorite.
