need a prenatal vitamin recommendation!

Hi all!

I'm taking a Whole Foods brand of prenatal vitamins and they make my nausea so much worse. Do any of you have any prenatal vitamin recommendations that you have found to not worsen your morning sickness?

TIA!

I like my Vitamin Code Raw Prenatals. Regular prenatals were making me barf, but these never bother my stomach. The downside - expensive (to me) and you take three at a time.

Found mine at the Vitamin Shoppe.

HTH!

And I believe they are vegan!

New Chapter Perfect Prenatal.

They whole-food based so they're easily adsorbed by your body. I used to take Rainbow Lights Prenatal One as my regular multi-vitamin even before we started trying to have a baby, but as soon as I found out about these I switched. Best decision ever.

I second the above poster -- New Chapter brand prenatals. They're whole food vitamins, very readily absorbed. My MS had mostly passed when I switched to this brand, but my stomach can still get upset very easily and they don't bother it at all. You're supposed to take three a day, so my midwife suggested skipping the morning one, and instead taking it before bed.

Ive heard really good things about

Rainbow Light - Prenatal One Vegan Guard Multivitamins

The CVS ones are the only ones that I can keep down. My friend's OB said they're the brand she recommends as the easiest to take. They're smaller than any of the other prenatals I've tried and have no aftertaste.

I don't know if they're vegan, though.

Edited: I just checked and they contain fish. Nevermind, ignore my post

I always feel sick when taking vitamins. Even when not pregnant. I'm taking the Rainbow Light vitamins...even with the ginger they can still upset my stomach so I have to play around with what I eat and the times I take them. I also take the Enfamil (shhh don't tell anyone lol) brand DHA. It's really gentle and vegetarian. And I dip into my kids Kyo-Dophilus probiotics.

I've also tried the New Chapter with my last pregnancy and they felt fine, but I didn't like taking so many. There was a Wild Oats brand I took with my first that didn't upset my stomach too much either.

I was going to try Mega Foods Baby and Me, I heard good things about them. I am taking a hypoallergenic one (Perry from Kirkman) right now, and when I am done, I am getting the Mega Foods one

New Chapter Perfect Prenatal is the best! Rainbow Lite made my tummy unhappy. I was told that the Whole Foods version was similar, but they were horse pills - no thanks!

New Chapter in general is a very good brand & my friend loved them for prenatals. A little pricey though, but might be worth it for your stomach.
I take the Rainbow Light One A Day Prenatal b/c I can't stand taking more than 1 pill. They are ok on my stomach.

mega foods baby+ me, new chapter organics perfect prenatal. both of these can be taken on an empty stomach because they are whole food vitamins. you can get a great/better deal on them if you buy from vitacost.com, flat rate shipping too. I love the new chapter ones personally.: + due december 2010
