Breastfeeding/Diapers...should I buy more?

My two month old is still wetting frequently....all the sites I've seen recommend 10-12 diapers per day...so 24 if you are planning on washing every other day...It always seems like I'm running low when I do every other day. Since I breastfeed and don't plan on doing foods until 6 months, can I assume the number of wet diapers will stay the same for at least that time period? So should I go ahead and invest in a couple more so I'm not always so stressed that I may run out if I can't get to the diapers right away on the second morning??? Opinions?

I'd get more just to buy you some more time. At least a dozen more, maybe 2. But then again, I hate being under the crunch of having to do diapers every other day--my luck something always happens that makes it really stressful.

The wetting doesn't really slow down until 4 mos or so when their bladder gets bigger. Nothing much to do with breastfeeding or not. Now the amount of poops, that's something related to bf. I didn't really see a decrease in poops until solids, and even then it went from almost every diaper change to 2-3 times a day.

My almost 4 mo. still goes through 10-15 diapers a day. He's EBF and still poops ALOT! Still pees frequently too. If you can swing it, I'd definately get another dozen or so.

Thanks for the insight....
I do think breastfeeding does add to it though...my other two I was not able to bf throughout...and the frequency of urination did indeed decrease when we added at least half the feedings to formula...not sure why that is, but it definitely was...so I wondered if that was the age (after 6-8 weeks) or just the formula end of it..... anyway, I can't afford an extra dozen, but a few more I think I could swing. Thank you!

how about a dozen prefolds? Regular size prefolds (4x6x4) are thin enough that they aren't too too bulky to fold down for a two month old. Little Lions have them for $18/dozen. They also have premium seconds for $16, but those will give a lot of bulk. If your current system is AIO's or pockets you would also need covers, but still, a dozen + 2 covers could cost about under $50.

I'd have 3-4dozen honestly. I found myself averageing between 14-18 diapers a day in the early days and with my super pooper first child up to 20+. Now at 3 months we average around 9-12 a day but shes sleeping longer as well.

I have never understood how 24 could be enough. I have a 6mo (well, 7mo tommorrow) and am now washing every other day and it is about 22-28 dipes I am doing at a time. By the time I get around to getting them out of the dryer/put up there are 3-5 more in the pail. I'm pretty sure this is quite less than a few months ago.
