Aurelie Helene is Here!

Thread Starter
Aurelie Helene was born on Wed June 2nd at 2:05pm by C Section. She turned transverse during the induction for low fluid. 7lbs 5 oz and 20 inches long. Milk is in, nursing well if painfully. Slapped with a big case of the freak outs from all the drugs, surgery and lack of sleep. Hope to find some equilibrium soon.

Just for the record c sections suck monkeys (to borrow someone else's pithy expression).

Congratulations and welcome Aurelie!

So sorry she didn't stay head down and that you didn't get the birth you hoped for.

Wishing you a fast recovery and a steady equalibrium!

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter! Enjoy this bonding time! I know it's disappointing to not have the birth that you were hoping for, but I hope that you're dealing with it well.

DDCC to say congrats! This caught my eye because my #1 girl name has been Aurelie June (Aurelie is a family name, we are French-
Basque). Everyone I have told the name to thinks it is spelled/pronounced "orally." Grr. I am so glad to see another mama using it. I hope she is as beautiful as her name!

Congrats Jezza!!! Im so glad your little girl has finally arrived! I know how long you have been waiting for her. I've been checking in every day to see if she had come. Im sorry that your birth didnt go as planned; I know how much you wanted things to be different. Birth is a very unpredictable event and we can never know how our LO's need to enter the world. Be gentle with yourself and stay rested. I hope your recovery is quick and easy. Allow your body and your emotions time to heal. We are all here for you if/when you want any help working through the tough issues. For now bask in the joy of your new baby girl. She is here, she loves you, your family loves you, and for now let that be enough. Blessings and love to you Mama!
