Forgot about the headaches

UGH! It's been just over 4 years since I had a new babe and I'd forgotten about the nursing headaches. OMG I have felt like I'm dying the last two days they are so intense. I had them so bad with my last that the doc sent me out for a MRI to make sure that there wasn't an underlying condition (no medicines weren't alleviating them and they were crippling as well) ...as I started to log them back then we realized they would hit during periods of cluster feeds with ds2....but they finally did start to taper around the time he was 4months old and I had started feed on a schedule (to alleviate the clusters) and to pump since I was working.

So here we go again I have had a solid headache since Thursday night and have only Tylenol right now and it's a skimpy bandaid for the pain...doesn't help it is 109 here today, 104 yesterday and 102 tomorrow. It may just be a LONG summer.

Oh no!!! I'm so sorry Mama that sounds horrendous. (((((comforting hugs))))) I hope they don't last long this time.

Not that you probably haven't tried everything but are you getting enough fluids? I know that dehydration (and/or hunger) are the biggest headache triggers for me. Nursing takes a lot of calories and fluid and with the heat maybe you're getting dehydrated.

Hope the headaches pass quickly for you.

That's the craziest part....I drink a full glass (32oz big) every other nursing session....and I'm drinking other liquids throughout the day as well..

Today's headaches were manageable enough that I'm up and about and was able to trek outside...but MAN yesterdays was horrible and made worse by us having to go visit relatives ....being out in the sun about did me in!

ditto. i had no clue nursing caused headaches. as if my nips aren't in enough pain already b/c of it - lol!

I know right! I only found out because my doc did the research for me 4 years ago after I did my diary...and he realized that it was correlating to my nursing habits and if I remember correctly he told me it was called lactation headaches.

But I'm like seriously come ON already! There's enough issues to be had leave my head alone please!!!
