Went off the pill during the last week of January to start trying...haven't had a period since. Saw a doctor the other day, she thinks I have PCOS. I'm kind of worried now and upset...anyone have any advice or anything I should know? I really don't know much about this at all.

In my mind finally getting the diagnosis of pcos was the start of things improving - I FINALLY knew what I was dealing with.
As a syndrome there is a broad spectrum of symptoms. Is she sending you for any testing? Ideally she does some bloodwork (to look at hormone levels), an ultrasound (to look at your ovaries) & evaluates your symptoms.
Good luck. There is a great forum - soulcysters if you are curious.

I have it to and with just a couple of inexpensive (well researched, older) drugs was able to conceive. There are a lot of threads here and the website listed above.
My advice is to find an endocrinologist. In my experience general practitioners and OBGYNs don't know enough about how to treat PCOS.

Got my blood drawn today to test for it...I've actually had an ultrasound recently, so the doctor (a pregnancy counselor) was able to pull it up and look at it. It came back looking completely fine but she says based on my symptoms I probably still have it.
I'll ask her if I can get a referral to an endocrinologist if the test comes back and I do have it. I'll check out that forum too, be nice to know more about what I might be about to have to deal with, beyond my mom's "worst case scenario is every scenario" horror stories about my aunt requiring a hysterectomy and what not.
