what is the absolute best AI2 OS dipe? i have gro baby and i used to love them but as DD is growing they are sucking more and more! i do not want to deal with this again...heard flip was good but once they are mobile the insert bunches...my DD is super active and i really need something that will stay put! she also has a HUGE butt for a baby like seriously huge her butt cheeks stick out of her gro baby dipes and even size 4 disposables and shes only 16lbs! like major baby got back lmao...if you only knew. anyway i want something really nice that WILL ACTUALLY LAST AND GRO WITH HER. also something i could possible use with my next baby in the future...something that will really last and is great quality. Maybe try SoftBums? I just got some this past week and they seem super-adjustable.

I feel your pain. Unfortunately, I don't have a good suggestion. I just ordered a sample iCandy dipe from Urban Fluff. I will post up what I think of it. It's supposed to be an Ai1/2 type also. I'm not in love with my GroBaby dipes anymore either - even more so now that they completely changed their design it makes my dipes less sellable.

What about just prefolds folded in a cover?

I love Best Bottoms from Nicki's diapers.
I prefer the hemp/organic cotton inserts over the micro-fiber stay dry inserts. The hemps are much thinner, absorb more and seem to be much better quality.
Our nighttime diaper is a BB w/an overnight insert+a hemp insert. No leaks at all!

Only downside is that they are pretty new and seem to be in high demand. They sell out as soon as she is stocked, so now she is taking pre-orders.

Softbums!!! They are INCREDIBLE! They are so adjustable - they can go from teeny tiny to big in matter of seconds (much easier to adjust then the FuzziBunz!). They come with snap in inserts that you can change out and reuse the shell as long as there is no poop on it. The fit is wonderful, and as a bonus, they are super cute.

I've liked the GroBaby diapers that I have. I only have 6 of them, but they fit DD well and they are very nice looking diapers

those soft bums look cool but they are only velcro? do they make them in snaps? im skeptical of velcro now that my gro baby diapers velcro is all curled and will hardly stay on but i def cant have her hanging out in just her diaper b/c it wont stay on!!

They have a snap version, it's only for the prints though and they sell out really quickly I think.

The Softbums velcro is great though, ours is just like new 8 months in. I don't even see how it could possibly curl honestly, it is a flat rectangle that is hemmed in by PUL borders.

I like Velcro myself, it's much easier to do up and you can get a more custom fit than with snaps.

I have the GroBaby dipes as well and disappointed with the velcro as well! If I don't put a pair of pants or something over them they would just fall off! I thought it was something I did wrong since I have never CD before!
I would replace them with something else but DD is almost 15 months and only wears dipes at night since we EC and she wears either underwear or goes nakey bum during the day!
If I have another babe I hope to get some fitted dipes instead!

It's so strange that you mamas have had issues with the velcro on the GroBaby dipes. To me, it seems like SUPER VELCRO. Like, it will grab onto anything and not let go. My daughter is currently enjoying learning how to remove her diaper and the GroBaby are the only ones she can't get open (and the covers we have with snaps, but I hate snaps because she' so skinny, I can't get a good fit)

DH never uses the laundry tabs, and when I pull them out of the dryer, I have a massive clump of diapering accessories all glued together with GroBaby

well you are lucky b/c my grobaby dipes are horrible now!

Maybe I just don't use them enough. I only have a handful of them. We certainly don't use them full time.
