Try not to freak out! I've read that some women spot during their 1st trimester and everything is perfectly healthy. I will be thinking about you, nintendork! Please keep us updated.

Don't freak out! Lots of women have spotting during pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies. I spotted off and on for MONTHS while I was pregnant and my pregnancy was otherwise unremarkable, baby born on time and healthy.

Have you DTD recently? Had an internal exam? Exercised/moved anything large/strained yourself in any way?

There are a lot of totally benign causes of spotting (and even some cases, outright bleeding with clotting) in an early healthy pregnancy... bleeding does not automatically mean losing the baby!

try to stay busy, try not to worry everything is probably just fine

I have had some sort of bleeding/spotting at different times with all of my pregnancies. Try to stay calm, I'm sure it will be ok. Maybe take it easy today to put your mind at ease.

Thanks everybody! My doctor's office is closed on Sunday but I am going to call them first thing in the morning. It only happened once today and it was brown so that is good right? I walked a mile and a half and then did prenatal yoga yesterday and today I am all sore so I am hoping that is what has caused this.

It sounds innocent. brown blood is usually a sign that its old blood. Call your dr tomorrow if it would ease your mind. It sounds to me like you just overdid it yesterday. *hugs*

I'm sure everything is OK. Hang in there and call tomorrow.
Chances are you overdid it. Go relax in bed and watch TV.

try to relax. Theres a lot of reasons to bleed during pregnancy. I bled during both my heathy pregnancies for different reason (my first Im pretty sure was implantation, my second was caused by me lifting heavy suitcases). Try to take it easy.

I bled seriously bad during my pregnancy with Zayla. Clots and everything, it went on for days. KNEW I had miscarried. Found out a week or so later that she was still in fact in there.

Kind of an extreme example but I wanted you to know that you can bleed and still end up with a healthy pregnancy/baby.

Thanks everyone! This is why I love the MDC boards, everyone is so helpful and supportive!

I am feeling much better now, no more bleeding since the one time and no cramping. I had horrible nightmares all night last night about ultrasounds without a heartbeat and leaving my baby in a dresser drawer outside int eh TX heat. Ack! So that didn't help. I think I may just turn in early. School starts back up tomorrow, yuck.

Thanks again mamas, you really helped get me through a stressful day!

I have also had some brown blood on my tp yesterday and today. It's really comforting to read all the posts. I can sort of breath easier. Fingers crossed for a sticky one!

i also had spotting with all of my previous pregnancies...most of it was caused by overdoing it...at one point it was bright red and i was so scared but everything was fine in the end

Thinking of you. Sending you peaceful vibes. Sending your baby sticky vibes! Hang in there!

Ok so my little bit of blood on the tp has become blood stains in my underwear. It's still brown but this is the same pattern that I had before my miscarriage last time. I start spotting at 5 weeks, bleeding at 6 and by 7 it's gone. I'm so scared. I just sat in bed and had a good cry. I think I'll try to get an ultrasound to see what's going on. I wish there was something I could do, I feel so helpless. Still hoping my little one hangs in there.

Have you had a blood draw at all to see if your progesterone levels are too low? Just a thought and hugs to you! I hope your LO stays put.

No, I should though. My mom needed progesterone cream to get pregnant and when I was charting my cycles it showed low progesterone patterns. I'm calling my midwife tomorrow and I'm going to try to get some blood work and an ultrasound.
