Salmon

DD LOVES salmon! I mean adores it she will eat it everyday If I let her. I usually get our salmon from vital choice so it's high quality salmon and low in mercury but still I worry about her eating to much.

What are your thoughts on this?

If it's Alaskan wild caught salmon which I think Wild Choice is, I would not worry. We live in the PNW and eat wild WA or AK salmon 3-4 times a week without worry, and I am very worried about mercury in general (my father was a dentist and I have high blood mercury.) In fact, wild salmon and sardines are some of the only fish that from my research I feel comfortable eating on a regular basis. If my DD would eat it every day I'd give it to her too!

my son's nickname used to be Salmon boy. He is 12 and still loves it. We eat it once or twice a week but he has the left over salmon for breakfast the next day so he'll often end up eating it up to 4 times a week.
Only the Alaskan wild caught salmon is okay. Stay away from farmed salmon and even the Atlantic wild caught salmon!

What's wrong w/ the atlantic wild caught salmon? TIA!

The salmon fisheries in the Atlantic are endangered, most "Atlantic Salmon" is that species but from a fish farm, not much wild Atlantic Salmon left. Plus it's much more likely to have PCBs and other toxins than the Pacific species.
