Still need a middle name...not much time left!

We have a boy first name and a girl first name picked out, but still need a middle name for each! I haven't found anything that meets my criteria that I like yet. Any suggestions?

Criteria for middle names:
* something "hippie-like" - nature, gem, colour, flower, etc.
* can be unisex since the first names are very NON-unisex
* ideally starting with a vowel

Our chosen first names are Florence and Gilbert (shhh, we're not telling anyone IRL ). Our last name starts with a D (so no middle names for boys starting with an "O").

DD's name is Miriam Iris D. A solid, crotchety first name, with a nature middle name.

I love the names Amaryllis/Amarilla after the flower. If you end up using a middle name for a nickname, you could do Marilla or Rilla, which are so incredibly dear.

Florence means "blooming" or "flowering," so flower names would go so nicely...plus they'd be a link to your other dd. Here's a long list of common and unusual flower names...kinda fun to read through. For example:

Quote:
AZAMI — Japanese for “thistle flower.”

FLEUR — International words for “flower,” which also include Flor and Fiorello/Fiorella, make inventive flower choices.

GELSEY — Persian for “flower,” a balletic choice.

IOLANTHE — Greek for “violet flower” — for those who want to make Violet a lot more exotic.

JACINTA — Spanish for hyacinth and more suited to use as a name.

LEILANI — Hawaiian name that means ‘heavenly flower” and also has stylish double L sound.

MARGUERITE — The French for daisy is newly chic there, as is Capucine, which means nasturtium in France.
Otherwise, why not choose a flower name that has personal meaning, or could be a wish for a characteristic of your daughter? Getting out "The Language of Flowers" and "The Language of Wild Flowers"....

Love your DD's name, too! Miriam is a favorite of mine (tho DH keeps vetoing it!). It was my great-grandmother's name.
