i have a 2 yo toddler & 2 month old my mom will be watching during conference hrs. 2 mo old is sort of predictable in nursing time, but not too much. we are staying in campus housing for the week. i plan on pumping if my breaks do not match nursing times & i will skip the 7:30 - 8:30 pm lecture to nurse before bed, then likely try to make the last lecture. basic schedule is long lectures that everyone attends then a break. conf is Mon PM - Fri AM.

what would you bring to warm bottles? keep bottles cold? pump? - should bring the double electric or just the hand pump?

what else am i missing? i am guessing i'll have to use sposies... boo.

i'd like to add, the conf organizer knows i'm bringing kids & caregiver and has been awesome. She related her stories doing the same thing & even offered housing/meal plan for my mom. i was thrilled!

When I did this, I used the hotel mini fridge to keep things cold. Neither of our DC cared about milk being warm so we didn't need a way to heat it. You could probably use a warm water bath in the bathroom sink. I always used my double electric pump, but that was at home too - I found the hand pump not very useful.

It's great that your mom is able to come with you and super that the conference organizer is on board. My son took some of his first steps at a conference hotel and because of that, my parents were around, which was super exciting. At least in my field, by the time I had my babies, I was far from alone and there were tons of babies and kids at the conferences, which was really fun. Good luck!
