Still wetting the bed at 7 years old - Page 2

It's so nice for me at least to see that there are other kids that are still wetting at a late age. It's nice to know that it may not be a sign of his other issues and that even if he was a typical child he could be going through this.

Just came to the is board to post a pretty identical question about my 6 yr old! Glad to see others dealing with it. It doesn't bother us too much (I mean, I certainly don't like extra laundry, but other than that...) but I wanted to see if any others were in the same wet, boat. Most of my IRL friends seem to have kids who were night dry from about 3 yrs old!!!
My DS wears UnderJams and likes those. He still wets thru them at least once a week. I double make the bed, so it's easy to peel off and get back to sleep.

It's definitely a tough one!
Wow, I never heard about the genetics. I wet my bed until I was 12 years but I've always been sure it was from my childhood yuckiness issues, but maybe it wasn't all that way.

I don't really have any advice because I don't quite remember what I did about it, but I still wet the bed until I was 12. It was highly embarrassing for me (especially the summer I spent at camp )....but I did grow out of it eventually. I still actually do wet the bed sometimes (maybe twice a year?) but this usually only happens when I have a dream about going to the bathroom. I did that on our couch back in April this year. *sigh* My five year old laughed at me.

Just wanted to share and make some of the other late bed wetters feel better... I still wet a lot into my early teens and didn't totally grow out of it until about 17. I mean i was seriously scared about going off to college. and then poof! it stopped. i was a seriously deep sleeper i think and yes i would dream about going to the bathroom too. my soon to be 5 year old still wets and wears pullups. she has some dry nights which we celebrate, but wet pull ups dont bother me so much. and yes, get a rubber sheet to put under everything so the mattress doesnt get ruined.

My 7 1/2 yr old son still wets the bed most nights. I gave up and try to have him wear a Goodnite now (he likes the ones that look like boxer shorts.)
