So after a lifetime of near-perfect teeth for both me and my husband (one small cavity each, with abominable dental hygiene for both), my two year old daughter turns up with one serious cavity in a front tooth and small ones in all four back molars. I've read most of the nutrition sticky, and been learning a LOT, and made some major changes. I looked around a lot for a mouth wash/rinse that I liked the idea of, and so far I like the look of Tooth Swish, from the makers of Tooth Soap, which is just a powdered combination of salt, baking soda, calcium and magnesium, but WOW is that expensive. I mean, salt and baking soda, even really fancy salt, are still cheap cheap, and the bottle of calc/mag that I bought a while back was very cheap as supplements go. So I thought, well, what's to prevent me from just pulverizing a couple tabs of calc/mag and mixing my own?

BUT of course I have no idea for ratios or what quantity to administer to a 2 1/2 year old.

The calc/mag bottle says that it contains calcium carbonate, citrate, and amino acid chelate, (500 mg), vitamin D as cholecalciferol (25 iu), and magnesium oxide, citrate, and amino acid chelate (250 mg), for those of you who are smart about these things.

So, commentary on the product Tooth Swish, suggestions as to quantities, and comments on other possible additions for mineralization purposes would all be very welcome!
