How much food do you estimate your toddler eats (total) on average in a day? E.g., 1 cup, 2 cups, etc. And the age of your lo?

I am not too sure in terms of cups of food but DS has some days were he just sort of nibbles all day and then he will have days where he has 2-3 meals plus 2-3 snacks a day.
I really try not to stress about it and just offer him healthy foods when he asks for it and sort of standard times (ex. breakfast, lunch, dinner) or when I eat or feel hungry (depending on our day).
My DS is 2 yrs 4 mons.

My son eats a lot. Sometimes he surprises me with how much he eats. He polished off 3 scrambled eggs one night last week and wanted more food. He typically eats 2 gerber bowls worth of food at daycare which consists of his main course, plus veggie, then 1/2 avocado and fruit, plus a 4oz yogurt. There's been times when his appetite was lacking, but not recently.

I'm very interested in this, we're going through a weird phase right now, DS is nursing less but hasn't really increased his solids much so for the first time I'm kind of worried about nutrition/total intake/etc.
He is 16mos & I would estimate eats about 0.5 - 1.5 cups of food a day. Breakfast and lunch he eats maybe 1 Tbs each... snacks he will eat a little more if it's fruit (he'll eat a whole piece of fruit but otherwise it's usually just bites)... Dinner he'll eat maybe 1/2 cup of food on a good day. I'm always shocked when I see kids around his age eating because they eat more in one meal than he eats in an entire day...
