I joined MDC in 2004 (I think?) but was a frequent lurker for information and a relatively infrequent poster. I think I posted my last post in July of 2008 just before my second child was born. I had a hideous birth full of complications, during which I almost died and after which I was hospitalized for several weeks with a raging infection. My little one had colic for 4 months, and I was just putting one foot in front of the other, battling numerous health problems, trying to get over the birth, trying to mother my screaming baby, and struggling in all sorts of ways to make it through. As you might imagine, MDC sorta slipped from my radar . . . .
I've now re-established my habit of lurking but finally decided it was time to come out of the closet and say HELLO to all you wise mamas!
I have 2 joyful kiddos, DDs who are 7 and 22 months old, plus a big friendly lug of a dog, and 2 cats. I CLW with both my girls, but sadly, my youngest decided at 16 months that she was all done. I'm an avid gardener and although I do WOH, I have a blessedly flexible work schedule. That's it for now. I look forward to reconnecting with this community.
