Prefold fitting questions for 3 month old

I don't think I'm using the right size prefold with the right size cover. I fold the prefold in thirds and stick it in the cover, but now the small proraps are getting too small, but the medium ones are too big...so I'm using small Bambino Mio ones and there's a gap where the cloth ends and a couple inches of the wrap is touching her. But the next size up doesn't work either.

Anyway, what size prefold do you use with what size wrap???????

Well, that's kind of an in-between age. With my older girls, I had some gerber DSQ prefolds that were slightly shorter than my premiums, and also thinner (4x6x4 instead of 4x8x4). They worked well during the in-between stage when were moving into prorap mediums. You do have to fold some down, but it isn't too bulky. I didn't have any of those left for my current baby (they got moved to the rag pile before we decided we weren't done with having kids) and I haven't seen any quite like them anywhere. My 2.5 month old is currently in mostly Little Lions capri size prefolds. We also have a dozen of the 4x6x4 regular prefolds and I like how folding it down concentrates the extra bulk right where it is needed. GMD's sized prefolds would also give a just-right fit.

Once you move into medium proraps, you're done with the infant size prefolds, since they're just too small to fit in the covers right.

I have found it helps at times to fold the pf in half and then in half again. It fits in my covers great that way when folded in thirds it is too long.
