Moms of 1+ what kind/how many clothes do we need for a summer NB?

Would mamas of one or more weigh in on what kinds of clothes, and how many of each you think is a good number please? (Keeping in mind: wash every other day, not every day!)

I know I can find lists from the big baby sites about how many clothes, and what types you "should" have, but I wasnt sure if it was excessive or not, and thought the MDC mamas might have a better idea. I may have asked this already, too, but preggo brain prohibits me from remembering.

we'll be CDing, so shirts probably better than onesies, right? but of course, we have some bodysuits, sleep sacks, rompers etc that have been gifted/thrifted so I'm just trying to determine what more to look for if anything

*side snap shirts
*sleeveless sleep sacks
*onesies/body suits (sleeveless or long sleeved?)
*long sleeved PJs with/without feet?
*sleeveless bodysuits

that's a guess of what we generally have right now. I'm picturing sleeveless body suits, or shortsleeved shirts and a diaper only. I wish I could wear that now, minus the diaper...

For info: DS was born in TX in mid August so it was HOT and we had the a/c on all the time.
Also, he didn't really spit-up so we didn't have many clothing changes per day but you can't predict this.

He slept in footed pjs and was swaddled so no sleepsacks. We were given the PJs.
We didn't CD. He wore shorts and tshirts or short rompers in the day.

8 footed sleepers/pjs
1 pack of side snap shirts (for the 1st week or so before we were comfortable with handling our newborn!!)
4 rompers
4 shorts
4 pairs of cotton leggings/pants (Carters)
8 tshirts/short-sleeved onesies
1 cute little hoodie that went everywhere with us as the a/c was crazy cold in stores etc.
Don't forget a couple of hats!

My lil monkey was born in April, so not quite a NB in summer, but I vote for short sleeved onesies and long sleeved but footless pjs. DD got hot really fast and as soon as it was warm, she was not into the footie pjs. But that's my DD, other babies I knew at the time seemed to always need a sweater or blanket. As for how many, I don't remember DD needing to change clothes much in the early days, except for spitting up and you get good at catching it in a cloth diaper that lives on your shoulder (DD preferred to spit up on daddy!) but I remember having to change myself when that cloth diaper wasn't on my shoulder for the 10 seconds it took me to take it off and try to leave the house! But really, I am with you on the tank top and diaper for the most part.

my DD was born in June... she wore a LOT of little onesie dresses (great thing to wear at that time of year, cute and keeps her cool but covered) if she were a boy... it would have just been onesies.

because we did not have AC in that house, she also slept in onesies to not overheat, or on particularly hot days just her diaper.
