I really like using Picnik to edit pictures, create collages, etc. Both times that I've done so and then had the pictures printed (this last time through QOOP) the resulting image is too dark. I spent $30 on prints for all the family of our youngest daughter and now I don't even want to hand them out. Any tips, suggestions?

I don't bother using the big-time mail-order labs for printing photos I've run through Picnik. They always come back too dark, discolored, or both. And I have a calibrated monitor!
I've had good luck with Scrapbook Pictures.com for printing my Picniked photos. Their algorithm seems to correct for underexposure rather than overexposure. They also offer the option to have your photos processed with custom color correction, which is done by a person instead of a computer. It adds a few cents to the cost of each print, but it's money well spent, especially when you are printing photos for display or for family distribution. And they offer a huge variety of sizes, including square prints.
