i went to kellymom and they said my 8 m.o DD only needs like4 oz
EBM...but if i pump for a feed i get like 7oz...i never pump b/c im a SAHM but shes going to her uncles on sat afternoons now to give me a break and hopefully make her a little more confident...

so how many oz do you think i need?

At that age DD took anywhere between 4-5oz a feeding when she was at daycare and she still takes the same amount now and she is 11 months old.

If you pumped 7oz, you could always send it all but have him offer her 4oz in a bottle and if she is still hungry offer her the rest.

DS is only 6 months, but will take anywhere from 3.5 to 6 oz (average is 4-5) a feeding while I am at work. I wouldn't be surprised if she took less or none, and just waited for you to come back also.

as far as pumping output vs. her actual intake . . . when I pump in the mornings I usually get no less than 8 oz, but I drain both breasts. DS usually only will drain one, and part of the other. part of the beauty and frustratingness of bf'ing is not really knowing exactly how much he gets.

I agree with the other posters. And if after a few weeks she has been fine with less, I would start freezing some of it so you can maybe build a freezer stash and not have to pump quite as much.
