Changes in cycle w/Synthroid or Metformin???

Anyone else have a change in cycle w/synthroid or metformin? This is my first full cycle on both, and I'm 6 days later than my "latest" projected CD1 (my cycles are anywhere from 28-31d, and it's day 37). I'm not preggo and I don't normally have PMS symptoms, nor do I have any now, but AF is just... not... coming...

Similar experience? Suggestions? Ideas? or am I just uber-paranoid 'cause I'm using new meds?

I don't have any experience with Synthroid or Metformin. I just wanted to pop in and wish you luck. Hopefully, someone will see this and be able to help you.

I'm on a generic form of synthroid and i know with my first cycle being on it AF showed up late. I've only been on it for maybe 4 months now and it seems to have gone back to almost normal, so hopefully you will get adjusted as well. I know the paperwork that came with it says it can affect your menstrual cycle. How big a dose are you on? I'm on a very low dose (25mcg), so they say. Good luck to you!!!!

blueyezz - I'm on 50mcg of generic synthroid and two 750 met ER a day... I take the synthroid at night, 'cause I feel so sick in the morning if I don't eat *something* first thing in the morning (okay'd w/doc and pharmacist). (Just did the math - CD46? really! Argh - it's like all the progress I made with acupuncture and herbs went ***POOF***...) I'm supposed to have another TSH drawn Friday... I've tried parsley/ginger tea, BDing, extra exercise, begging, ignoring, and pleading... I spotted for about 12 hours after the first tea... and here I wait... no O this cycle (7dpo progesterone was 0.3). The only thing I can even imagine that is causing the changes are the meds - I've been cycling regularly (on my own) for nearly a year (ok, so w/help from acupuncture and Chinese herbs), and now, on western meds, I can't get a CD1 to save my sanity!

wow... I'm a little more / than I intended... I wish it were hormonal... Agrh!
