Diagnose me!

I am 39 years old. I have three children ages 7, 4, and 21 months. I have nursed all of these children (not at once) for 7 years! That's straight 7 years, back to back.

I have joint pain in 'all' of my major joints-shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, wrists. It is worse in the morning.

My muscles are very loose, and whenever I exercise I seem to pull or injure something. Makes it hard to become fit again!

I am 30lbs above my ideal weight of 135lbs.

All of my joints hurt equally.

I want to exersise but I am in pain! What is this?

I was wondering if I have some sort of arthritis? Or something to do with being bombarded with nursing hormones (ie relaxin) for over seven years?

Maybe lupus, but joint pain is the only symptom I have...

Anyone have anything like this affecting them??

I would try to search allergy thread. I know i read of someone maybe (whome) saying her daughter has loose joints and it has to do with something nutritionally or perhaps being low in dopamine??I think I read it in the detox guinea pig thread by whome. I'm not sure exactly but maybe that helps I'm headed to bed or I would try searching now for you.

i would start with a detox, maybe a fasting detox. if you are able to clear yourself out and lose a few pounds and dont see an improvement, i would suggest chiro and maybe accupuncture.

do you have excessive fatigue? (like someone with 3 kids, one still a babe wouldnt! haha) i ask bc i have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue

I only have a second but check out magnesium and glucosamine. I'd put money on you being low in mag and glucosamine helps repair joint tissue.

Hmmm...I just took a multivitamin. But making a note of magnesium and glucosamine.

I am going to google about fibromyalgia. I AM tired all the time but it is so hard to tell if it is abnormal because I rarely get a good night sleep due to nursing my youngest, who is still nightnursing. I care for five children including my own three. My oldest child has ADHD and can be a real handful, so yeah, I am always tired.

Today my neck is sore and the muscles all between my shoulderblades, and my hips hurt quite badly today as well.

I think I will start doing more yoga, and see if that helps...

Zipworth, my first thought when you started this was: THYROID. When mine acts up, I get various aches and pains. Once the weird low back pain was so extreme I couldn't pick up my cat. Another time my neck and shoulders were killin' me. And oh, my hips would hurt so badly at night I couldn't sleep. (My husband complained about our mattress because his hips hurt...he went on thyroid and we later realized he had stopped complaining about needing a new mattress!) All my pains go away when I start back, or change, medication for thyroid. Weight gain is symptomatic of thyroid, also.
